View from the Cabin.
Farming Matters
Although all seems quiet and peaceful here, the cabin is located in the middle of a working farm. The pace is slower, and the small herd of cows most important job is to keep the grass down. In the food production areas, there are 300 fruit trees, a small vineyard, and an organic vegetable growing area. Some of this beautiful produce may even end up in Cabin #1, but we make no promises as things are seasonal. As you come up the driveway, you will pass our newly established Bush Tucker Garden that contains hundreds of plants that are all local species. Many of which can be eaten and others have medicinal purposes. Some of these, like lemon myrtle, are used in the products in the cabin. Sometimes in the paddock on the river-side, you may see our resident, rather large kangaroo. His only farming purpose is to look handsome and eat some grass. |
